Absolutely not. The case uses NFC technology to draw a tiny amount of power from your phone only during the few seconds it takes to refresh the image. Once displayed, the image stays forever without consuming any battery from your phone or the case.

Can the E-Ink screen display colors?

Most E-Ink cases support 3 to 4 basic colors (such as Black, White, Red, and Yellow). Images are displayed in a classic, vintage, and artistic style that remains perfectly visible even under direct sunlight.

How do I change the image on the back?

It’s very simple! Just download the dedicated app (instructions included in the box), select any photo from your gallery, customize it, and tap "Send." The image will update instantly via a one-touch NFC connection.

Will the image disappear if I remove the case from my phone?

No. Thanks to E-Ink technology, the last image sent will remain displayed permanently, even if you remove the case or your phone dies. The image only changes when you manually upload a new one.
